As a credit union, a main component of our "people helping people” philosophy is to give back to members, often in the form of increased dividends, reduced loan interest, and other forms of financial support. At Lafayette Federal, we seek to go above and beyond our commitment to assisting our members by contributing towards the betterment of communities in which we operate.

Since 1990, Lafayette Federal has donated $909,189 to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, including funds raised through our yearly Capitol Classic Charity Golf Tournament which we launched in 2007.

We intend to lend a helping hand to our members and communities to not only build them up, but to also provide a safety net during periods of instability. Through the COVID-19 pandemic, natural disasters, and other unforeseen events, we have provided consistent support to our members via financial assistance and relief programs.

In addition to our work with Children's Miracle Network Hospitals and our financial assistance programs, we also give back to our communities through partnerships, volunteer work, and community outreach initiatives, including:

  • Partnered with AMVETS to provide meals to veterans trying to incorporate themselves back into the workforce (November 2019)
